Deviant Art - Probably the most popular website for artist to set up their own galleries/ Devart has many features such as galleries with personalized URLs, chat rooms, a news network, and a forum with many different categories.

GFXartist - Also a very nice website that offers a personal gallery, and web url. It has a great forum, news network and many contest

CGsociety- A community for Digital Artist, you can set up a basic gallery for free, but upgrading can buy you new features. CG has Job listings, forums and even a newsletter, also a store

Shadowness - A community that allows you to customize, and choose whether you a private or public portfolio, and it also comes with a blog.

Renderosity - A community that caters to every medium of art, from digital, to writing, to photography.

Behance - Behance also caters to most/all mediums, and has a really awesome gallery layout. It has project, and medium groups.

Flikr - A really popular gallery site for photographers, and other art mediums. It’s gallery makes pictures look nice a crisp look, and offers multiple features for blogs, and personal sites.

Etsy - A site where, artist, clothes designers, and anyone else can sell their products, and open a shop online.
